I'm helping some friends with their computer and they need more memory. Their mobo takes (im assuming) up to PC133 RAM and thats what they have now. Would that same mobo be able to run PC2100 or so? I know it wont take advantage of the speed and whatever else, but will it work at all?

The reason I ask is because PC2100 and up RAM is so much cheaper than the old PC133 sticks.

DDR SDRAM (PC2100 is DDR266, runs at 133MHz clock) uses a different slot than SDR SDRAM (PC133, for example). A few boards had both types of slots. You'd get more help if you told us what board you have.
