the problem is like its trying to die or video card is going. Sometimes it's like the black blob invading my screen from the top right hand corner (looking at screen)going down and accross (on an angle). Sometimes works great, also when the blob shows up, the reset of the screen starts to darken. (There are no sounds when this happens)

Any help on this.(No other monitor to exchange with).

2 years old, Gateway, onboard video (graphics) card.
Don't have the money to send it to a shop right know
