It depends on what you are doing with it. If you are gaming, the Gateway will rock the other two laptops with its much stronger 8800 GTS graphics card. On the down side, it has a slower CPU, so any program that needs processing power, will run better on either Satellite unit.

I would order them:
Gateway FX > Satellite X205 > Satellite P305

------------------------------ LAPTOP: Sager NP5760|T7200|2gb DDR2-667| 100gb 7200rpm HDD| 512mb 7950GTX|17'' WUXGA

Desktop: Core2 E7200 | Corsair 2gb DDR2-800 | Gigabyte EP35-DS3L | 250gb Seagate Barracuda | MSI GTX260 (192 SP) | Corsair VX550 | Antec 300 case

What are you using your laptop for? Gaming go with the Gateway.

That is always a good plan, but with any upgrade to an OEM machine, it WILL void the warranty. That's if they find out. If you go that route, keep the original CPU and put it back in if you need warranty work ;)
