Hi, I have Asus laptop F3Sv series and my question is if I can upgrade my cpu (It has Duo t7300 currently). I called Asus technical support asked them and they simply said they do not recommend that and blah blah blah. So my question is does any one can find information if my current motherboard is compatible with newer mobile cpus or better a list with ones it supports. I understand I will probably have to update my bios and all that good stuff but for me having 2.0ghz cpu is kinda sluggish...I went on newegg and found a nice Intel Core2Duo T9300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819111001 So yeah I would spend the money on update if I be sure if it be compatible with this laptop's mobo! Thanks for reading this long drama :lol:

umm laptop specs if that will help:
CPU: Intel Core2centrino t7300 (2ghz)
ram: 2gb (upgraded from 1gb stick xD)
os: vista home premium (vista is rubbish)
hd: 160gb
gpu: 8600m gs (256mb version)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also I was looking thru newegg at asus laptops (f3sv series) and I found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220285&Tpk=asus%2bf3sv but this one has better spu (2.20ghz) and higher display resolution, I looked at the chipset and it stated:Intel PM965. The thing is I dont know if I have same chipset since I am looking at specs of newer model...that about it omg this is getting long like a love letter sorry >_<
