Double log onto desktop

I have 2 user accts, one with password. When I enter my password the system
cycles through to my desktop and then goes back to the screen saver, then to
welcome screen where I need to start over. In other words, I need to enter
my password twice before it will leet me get to my desktop. Any way to
correct this?
