Laptop wont power on.

Hello, i have an ideapad y710 and was browsing the net with my laptop when it suddenly lost power. And It wont switch on until now. I took out the battery and tried to plug it to an electric outlet but nothing happens. What could be the problem?

If The Battery is that Dead Try and Recharge it for a few hours. Is it possible that maybe your cmos battery is dead if its an old laptop. Or Maybe your battery isdead you can try measuring with a multimeter too see if it has any volts or buy a new one if its over 1-1/2 years old. Hope thatHelps!
