I'm looking to buy a LCD monitor to replace my old CRT so I can save some space on my desktop. I'm on a pretty small budget, but this doesn't bother me because I very rarely play games or use any programs like that on my computer. However, I would like a monitor that has a reasonably good display quality because I would still like to run basic applications (word, internet explorer etc.) without problems and without straining my eyes. Only a VGA connection will be necessary because my graphics card doesn't have a DVI interface on it. It wouldn't do any harm for the monitor to be a nice looking one either. I've looked at the LG 1720b, but in the UK you can really only get this for £175, and I'm looking at buying one for more like £100. All suggestions would be appreciated.
