So far, Tom's HW is the only place I've been able to
find objective and technically-oriented reviews of LCD
monitors. What a great resource!

THW reviewed both the ViewSonic VP191b and VP930
favorably, especially for their latency.

But so far I've seen no reviews for 20.1 inch 1600x1200
LCDs, like the VP201b, and the Samsung 204B and 204T .

Does anyone have any experiences with 20.1 panels,
good or bad, that they can share?

Cheers!

I personally like my Gateway FPD2185W with 8ms response. I play EQ2, HL2, CSS, CS, BF2, BF2 SF, and WOW haven't noticed any Ghosting or "video lag". Great monitor.

The Gateway FPD2185W has received excellent ratings from review sites. In additon to the two I already mentioned see extremetech and maximumpc. Widescreengamingforum has some very good user reviews (although some are not happy  ) http://www.widescreengamingforum.c [...] php?t=2371
I'm considering this monitor myself.

I have a Dell 2001FP 20.1" 1600x1200 LCD monitor and it is a well-made and high-quality unit. It has four video inputs (RGB, DVI, SVHS, and composite) and also works as a 4-port USB hub. It is on a very sturdy and adjustable stand. RGB image quality is so-so with my inexpensive video card, but DVI is extremely sharp. This monitor is not cheap- it cost me $500 with a student discount, otherwise it is about $600 or so.
