wife just surprised me with a new cd burner. was gonna get a lite on but i hate to spoil her gift. anyone know anything about this product before i install it? comparable to the lite on? thanks in advance!!!

It's possibly a rebadged LiteOn.

Lately Sony were rebadging LiteOn CD-RWs instead of manufacturing in house

Lately Sony were rebadging everything instead of manufacturing in house @@
even the DVD-RWs are actually ODM from Optiright with a cool face plate
(but I heard lots of bad thing on the DVD burner)
heard it from some place that Sony is putting all their resours
in developing the new blue-Ray burner...
