Creative SB Live! problems

Hi, I have a Creative SB Live! card and a Logitech Z-640 speaker setup. My problem is, sound doesn't come out of the center speaker unless I press the Matrix button, which does nothing but combine the front two speakers, eliminating the whole 5.1 idea. Another friend of mine has the same problem, and we don't know what to do. Any ideas?
