I'm buying a laptop for general use with some multimedia and minimal gaming. I plan to purchase a desktop and game on that mainly. But I also plan to keep this laptop for 5 years roughly. My budget is less than 700 USD before tax. My Second question is should I stick with intel HD graphics? Or add the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 1 gig DDR3 for $100? Will it be a noticable difference?
I was also wondering about the New 2010 Intel® Core™ i3-350M 2.26Gh (4 Threads, 3M Cache)that this laptop comes with. I checked intel's website and I saw it doesn't have the hyper boost feature. Without hyperboost, would this i3 processor be any better than its successor like the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz/1066Mhz FSB/3MB cache)? Thank you in advance
