Samsung 204b screen resolution

Hello people,
Just bought a new Samsung 204b LCD and LOVEIT LOVEIT! One thing, however, the specs. say it can go up to 1600x1200p. When I try to put it there, a box comes up saying wrong resolution and changes it automatically back down to 1024x768p. Not that the latter is a bad picture, it's not. Why can't I get the former resolution???

Thanks again for all your support. Maybe some day I can offer support to some one else....long ways to go, I'm afraid.

Not 100% on this, but perhaps your video card won't support 16x12 with your settings. Try changing your color to 16-bit and/or refresh rate to 60hz.
