recently i ordered an abit siluro geforce4 ti4200, and today, to my pleasure, it arrived.
installed it, benchmarked a bit - everything fine so far.
but when it comes to the tv out (first time for me using tv out), i'm starting to run into trouble.
i tried connecting the video card to the tv screen via s-video - whatever i tried, i simply was not able to get the picture on the tv. when i tried composite, it worked - but the quality was rather... pita.
then i read about some switch named "video output format" in the manual of the card:
display properties : settings : advanced : nview
right-click on the second monitor (tv) and select "device settings".
there are the following options:
analog display (grayed)
digital display (grayed)
tv (active)
below tv, there's the following:
format (with two lines showing the selection) and a button named "change format".
and now comes the part i don't understand - the manual says there's another dropdown menu called "video output format" where you can select s-video, composite or auto-select.
i don't have that menu!! i tried the newest detonator (29.42) and the abit driver as well - no dropdown menu.
and the driver doesn't automatically switch to s-video so i can't watch tv via s-video which greatly sucks.
i hope there's someone out there who can help me with that...
thanks in advance!
