Hi, I'm a programmer, my main focus is web development - Apache/MySQL/PHP, and soon Flex, I also do .NET and am a student of Software Engineering, I've been wandering around and wondering which laptop should I get, so far I came up with the Dell XPS M1530.

Does anyone of you own such a model?
What are your notions about this one?
And if anyone can recommend any other model worth looking into.

Thanks beforehand, any help in this matter is appreciated.

Hi, thanks.

upto ~$2000 , I'd like to make this laptop my main machine as well,
so im thinking on getting a docking station as well, any suggestions for a none-overpriced station w/ DVI input?

Thanks again.

For a relatively thin and light notebook without running excessively slowly, that is an excellent choice. It also has quite nice battery life.
