Hey guys, this is my first post so please forgive me if I get anything wrong.

I have had my Microsoft Keyboard with Fingerprint reader for about 2 years now and it's been working perfectly fine, I've just built myself a new PC and now the fingerprint reader doesnt want to turn on at the login screen when turning on Windows XP, and takes about 1 minute toload the account name (grrrr). I have

DFI Lanparty UT SLI-D Mobo
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
EVGA 7800gt 256MB
Corsair XMS DDR400 1 GB Dual Channel (2 x 512)
Seagate SATA 200GB HD 8MB Cache
LiteOn 16x DVD-RW Drive
Thermaltake Purepower 560W PSU
WIndows XP SP-2

I've just re-installed windows and Installed the DigitalPersona Password manager 1.0.1, and without installing any of my other programs or drivers it worked fine, but after I installed all my other stuff it doesn't work. I've tried to eliminate the programs one by one but none of them are conflicting in any way that I can see.

Does anyone have the same problem and found a solution, or should I sell this keyboard and buy another one, In which case does anyone have any suggestions for a versatile gaming keyboard?

Would appreciate any help on this also, I have the exact same problem and have also thought maybe I need a new keyboard (but I know that's not the problem). I've had mine probably 3 years plus and it has always loaded the fingerprint reader by the time the Windows login screen loads, and always worked great on all login screens except for a few that might have security type stuff that prohibits it (financial), etc. Now the darn thing takes forever to load the reader and turn the fingerprint pad light on at startup, it's easier to just login by typing. After Windows has started completely, the reader is hit or miss with various login screens. Sometimes works, sometimes not, pad light is on like it should be. I tried updating drivers to Digital Persona 2.0 instead of the 1.0 it came with. No help and actually does a little worse on various login screens. Thought I had a failing USB port perhaps, and bought another PCI slot USB card for connection. No difference. Ran Microsoft Bootvis thinking it might be related to how the drivers load. No help. Uninstalled the keyboard in Device Manager and uninstalled the Biometric for the reader, uninstalled Microsoft Keyboard and Digital Persona in Add/Remove Programs. and re-installed all and tried the DP 1.0 & 2.0 versions. Same dang problem. It's driving me nuts, you get addicted to these keyboards since I hit probably 5 or 6 sites frequently that require logins, more than that when paying bills, and it saves so much time using the fingerprint reader.
