If it's the same computer you can do between 3 and 5 before it will ask you to call.

For me it was somewhere between 3 and 5 that it prompted me to call. It only takes a couple minutes and you don't have to even talk to anyone.

You just read off your set of numbers, then they read you a set of numbers back then you activate.

As long as it's the same computer phone activation won't be limited.

Hi :)

He can use the same code ONLY if NO hardware is changed as that code is generated from various pieces of hardware...

So if he changes say a hard drive or adds some extra ram...that code wont work.... it also wont work on ANY other machine...

The reason I mention that is he keeps asking about UNLIMITED activations.... which also wont work....

All the best Brett :)

The Windows 7 Product Key (License) is perpetual, it never expires. You can reuse the key as many times as you wish, as long as the operating system is only installed on one computer at a time.

The Student version of Windows 7 is the Retail, Upgrade version. You will need to perform the installation the same way you did when you originally installed it.

The product key that you used to activate the first installation is kept on the Activation Servers at Microsoft. After you reinstall, you may need to perform a manual activation, which means that you may need to use the telephone option when you activate. Here are the instructions for a manual activation.

1. From the desktop, press the Windows Logo Key+R. This will bring up the Run dialog box.

2. In the Open: box, type slui 4 and press OK. This will start the manual activation wizard.

3. Select your Country in the drop down menu and click Next.

4. The wizard will display a Toll Free phone number. Leave the wizard open on the computer and call that phone number.

You will be given some recorded options. Select the option to talk to a live representative.

The representative will manually activate that system for you.

Let us know if you have any more problems

And two final questions:First,if i choose bulgarian from countries every time and i write the same code that i have recorded every time(with every reinstall) i can do it as many times as i want, right? And second,if i don't activate it(in the worst scenario) will i still be able to use the Internet and if yes,for how long?I am in Belgium for studying and using the Internet is urgent.

If you don’t activate Windows within 30 days after installation, you will not be able to use every feature of Windows. You can regain full use of your computer by activating Windows.

To activate Windows on your computer, do the following:

Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now.‌ Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
