I've been trying to get my brothers D410 laptop to work for a while now, and im out of ideas. He bought a new HDD for it, due to the old one failing and it will not boot normally on his machine. I hooked up to another computer and it works fine, not DOA. Installed XP Pro on it on the other computer, installed all the drivers for it. Still get error 0x0000000ed which is Unmountable_Boot_Volume error. It does it every time i boot the computer, unless i go to safe mode, it boots fine into safemode, bot only w/o networking or command promt Makes me think it is a driver issue or some feature in XP maybe? any ideas would be helpful.
