Writers that are god at error reading

can someone give me a few writers that can read scratched disks well? i have tons of CDs and I encounter ones that have issues all the time.

so i'm looking for a quality dvd burner (might jsut settle for a 30$ cd burner) that can handle errors well also. thanks guys

My plextor PX-708A handles scuffed discs better than my liteon 52327S.

Get a disc polisher - something like the <A HREF="http://www.digitalinnovations.com/" target="_new">Skip Doctor</A>. As a general rule, if you are having trouble reading a disc hold it up to a bright light. If you can see pinhole lights through the disc, the data layer is damaged and data is lost forever, but if not then you should be able to polish out any scratches. You should, of course, back up any data from a disc you needed to polish.
