Streaks on my LCD monitor!! Is this reversable or permanent?

Hi, i have a 19" LG LCD monitor and over the past month it had gotten a few fingerprints so after some research i went and purchased a special LCD monitor cleaner from my nearby comp store. I got this special anti static roller cloth device with the spray so i was very confident about this until i saw the result after i had wiped the whole screen!!!! Every inch of the screen covered in wide greasy streak marks!! I tried doing it over again in the opposite direction but this just made it worse cause it now has criss-cross streaks! I ended up attemting this every day in frustrasion but now ive just given up cause it seems that ill never be able to get this monitor back to lookin normal! Is this terrible mess that i made reversable or is it hopeless at this stage!? Plz help cause this was a very expensive/high quality monitor and it now looks like crap! thanks.
