Hi...

One particular XP SP2 pc on our network has just started to have this issue.
IF something is done with a folder either on one of the network drives or
local then fhe folder is unable to be deleted, you get the standard folder is
being used by another program message.
The reason for the problem is that the explorer.exe process still has a open
lock on it even when the explorer view for the folder has been closed. I
have found a utility called unlocker which can unlock the appropriate handle.
Does anyone no of a more permanent Fix to the issue. ? it appears as though
explorer.exe is not releasing the lock on the file proply.

Try deleting the folder(s) from a command prompt.

trying to delete the folder from the command prompt does not work.
