I'm about to be going off to college, and my parents have agreed to purchase a laptop for me. Their set price range is anything under $900. I could easily go under this if I was looking for just a basic school laptop, but I'm probably going to be doing some light gaming. Would a Dell Vostro 1510 with the 8400M GS card, and the slight processor upgrade play WoW fine or would it be laggy?
Would there be any better alternative to the Dell Vostro 1510 for around the same price range? Also it will probably need to be a brand with a lot of support and warranties, as my parents don't trust me to just pick any random laptop.
Thanks for all the input, and I look forward to reading your responses!
It's about $999, so about $100 over your budget, but for a do it all college notebook, I think it will give you the performance that is worth the extra cash.
