I'm looking for a few real quiet 80 mm fans to replace the ones that
came with my Praetorian case. Great case but noisy fans. I've
already installed a Zalman CPU heat sink and fan and am looking at
Papst, Zalman, Panaflo, Vantec and Nexus case fans. Any suggestions? I'm leaning
toward the Nexus as it looks to have the lowest dB at 17.6.

Panaflo is great. I have a few of them in my computers. They are pretty quite.

Panaflows have always given me the best airflow to noise ratio. Try some of their "low speed" fans, which have medium flow at low noise levels.

I had some chieftecs and for some reason two of the five were extremely quiet, while the others were really loud.. go figure.

where can you get panaflow though?
Newegg used to have it..but not anymore...
any reliable online store carry those?

piii_man had a source, I just get mine free out of used high-end power supplies
