HEy There

First of all sorry about my englisch but I don not write so much in englisch

And now the question!!

My Boss have send me an Corsair PC-400 TwinX 3200 Registered Memory to use it in my home PC but at this time I have an AMD 2000 XP Chip!!

The question is can I use this memory with an normal Athlon 64 Chip!!! Ore I have to use an Athlon 64 FX!!

Since the memory you have is registered, it will synchronize with your system clock. It will not, however, be as fast as unbuffered DRAM, since registered ram is designed for large, perfect data transfers, not speed. Check with your motherboard book or check the other RAM sticks in your slots to determine whether your motherboard supports this type of ram. And yes, you can use it with an Athlon 64 chip, it will make no difference.

Although the FX motherboards require registered memory, I believe that some xp and A64 boards do support registered memory, even though most do not. But again you'll have to check you motherboard book to see if it does.
