a year or two

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.
I want a laptop that can do alot well but nothing steller... I play WoW from time to time and EvEonline more then my fair share. I have spent alot of time playing on a celeron with a raiden express 200m ( eve and WoW ) and can stand it. I like the laptop that I linked to for a few reason first of all it has a freaking BLUE RAY drive. The duel core is nice and the 3 gigs is alot better then the 1 that I have now and if I want to I can upgrade to 8 gigs down the road. The whole vista thing is kinda iffy for me as I am bix fan of XP. Any alternitives or suggestions are welcome and wanted.

Dell VOSTRO 1500 would be an option.

the computer that you linked to would be ok. It has a ati hd 3200 that has 256mb dedicated video memory. All of the hp dv5-1xxx series have the same card. When looking at laptop graphics, find ati 3200 or better and nvidia 8400 or better. These start at 256mb video memory and go higher. (and so will the price)

a vostro w/intel core 2 t5780 w/nvida 8400 (128 dedicated) , 3gb ram, 250 gb hardrive is $983. To get better graphics increase your budget to $1000 to $1250. Best Buy has a Asus g50 w/ nvida 9700 gt on sale for $1100. (normal price is $1250)
