8800MGTX blows away a 8600MGT but there are only 2 15" laptops which have the 8800MGTX,one is ALIENEWARE M15x(which i dont recommend because of its problems like overheating, build quality....) and the other one is CLEVO M680UT which has a 9800MGT(equal to 8800MGTX) and a 9800MGTS(Which is slower that both) and has a good price :

Is Intel planning to launch quad core for notebooks soon ?? If so then i may think of waiting.

Yes it it.but a Dual Core CPU is still very fast, also not all applications benefit from 2 cores,i have a T9300 myself and i am very happy with how it performs.

Yes, towards the end of this year. The downside is that they are supposed to come with a ridiculous price tag, so it's not worth the wait since a higher clocked dual core will outperform in games and non-multi threaded apps.

They'll also likely have a pretty high TDP, so the battery life will be quite a bit shorter, and it will need more fans.

8800MGTS is a very good card and performs alot better than a 9600MGT.

I have the quad core mobile chips, but the 860TU and the 570TU at this time will not take them. The 570TU needs a motherboard revision.

You may want to consider waiting to increase your budget if you want this system to last 4-5 years. That or reduce your budget and buy a lesser mid-range system now and in a few years sell it and get another newer mid-range system then.

Trying to get something that is $1,500 that can meet all your requirements would be difficult.
