Network printer

I have a desktop and a laptop with windows 7 home edition. I have a non-wireless printer. my printer is connected to my desktop. I would like to be able to print from my laptop to the printer, and at one time was able to, but it no longer does. I have a modem, router, wired desktop, wireless laptop. When on my laptop, my desktop does not show up in my network, though it used to. I think this is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You have to share out your printer on your desktop then connect your laptop to the printer on your computer(browse the network to find your computer).
