Will a MAC DVD/CD-RW Drive work in a PC?

I can get some model numbers and post later if needed... the MAC drive is an IDE/ATAPI configuration so I would assume that it would work, does anybody know?

The reason I ask is because this particular drive is a slot loading drive and that is what I need for my computer building project, and it is DVD/CD-RW also...
