I'm in the market to upgrade from my old latitude d800. I want to keep it as far under $1,000 as possible, the overall size doesn't matter though I'm not looking for a monster to lug around. I'm basically looking for a laptop to do work (3d modeling, photoshop, programming, some level design) and occaisonal gaming at min settings. So pretty much COD4 on low is as intensive as I need to go.
I'm looking at at least 160 gig drive in it with some good cpu/gpu power. Reading through the forums here and elsewhere it seems like the 8600m gt is a good buy.
Searching through some sites the most promising one that I've run across is this one at Newegg. It seems to fit the bill well, but I've never heard of the company before, though the reviews on newegg are good. Thoughts?
