Professional monitor - ViewSonic VP930?

I am a person who does mainly the following things:

A. Working on pictures (e.g. Photoshop) (50%)
B. Creating graphics (print & digital) (30%)
D. Video (20%)

In the future, when I will upgrade my computer, video editing might become a big thing as well, so I have to think of a monitor that is also good showing videos.

I have the following graphic card (it's old, but should be still good, I guess):
Matrox Millenium G400

OK, after doing some research I think that ViewSonic VP930 is the best choice for me. According to the Tom's Hardware, this monitor is the next big thing. However, there's a few things that makes me think a bit.

1. In the net, I have read a bit mixed reviews of this monitor. For example,
"Unfortunately the image quality is just not up to the high level that ViewSonic set with previous VP displays.", says TrustedReviews.

and

"...led to respectable but average image quality ratings from our jury.", says PC World. However, if I understood correctly they later on mentioned that by choosing a cooler mode solved the problems. Don't know...

Overall, I think this monitor should be good. I do not know how much weight I can put in the review from TrustedReviews. Anyway, if someone has anything to say about this monitor, please do so. It would be good to know if I am on the right track. One more thing, I do not have much more money than this to invest in a monitor.

Secondly, I am wondering will the quality reduce when I have to use the VGA plug. Hopefully my grahpic card is still OK for this job.
