No internet access

i have connection but it says there is no internet access..why is that?

This can occur when your computer does not have a path to the public internet despite being connected to a network.

This can occur when a modem desycronizes, when the gateway requires authentication (username and password), when there is no gateway, when the gateway is offline, or when the network is not configured properly.
