Hp scanjet 4c

I have a HP scanjet 4c. The software I have does not allow me to scan and save the image as a jpg or gif. Is there another software that is compatabile with this scanner that will allow this?

You might want to Google for VueScan. It works with most all popular scanner models. Make sure to download the free demo version BEFORE you buy it and try it out in order to make sure you like the interface.
