strange beeping noise when i boot up

hi all, Im a relative newbie so I have what may be a dumb question. I recently had my new computer built so I decided to try and salvage my old computer barebones with my old HD. I put back in the power supply, hooked it to the mobo and HD and tried booting it up. I have what I THINK is the right connecting set-up to the HD BUT here is the problem.

When i tried booting it up, i heard a BEEEEP....BEEEEP....BEEEEP noise and nothing on my screen to tell me what might be wrong. Could anyone tell me any possible problems with my set-up? I could provide a few further details if necessary....thanks
