Changing administrator name

I bought a new Acer Aspire 5560G Laptop with pre-installed programs (part of the sales deal).

I have noticed that a name keeps popping up that's not mine - I believe it is the name of the person who installed the programs - I think they're the Administrator.

I know their password (it was placed on the computer via sticky note).

I have made myself a 'User' but I want their name gone...

I would like MY name to be associated with this computer, as Administrator, not a sales person's.

How do I go about changing this? It's the first laptop I've ever owned myself and it just irks me.

I need answers to be pretty basic as I'm a Newbie!

If it is windows 7 you will have to log in as the administrator, go to users in control panel, and change your account from standard to administrator.

It's too late. Had it for a few months. Father admitted to hospital 4 times since then - no time!
