The max my Dell E772c can support is a 1280x1024 @ 60Hertz on desktop. The problem with this is when I put my games' resolution at 1024x768, the screen will appear as if it's bulging towards me (extroverted?). I've been trying with lower resolution such as the ones between 1152x864 (max 75Hertz-85Hertz) to 1280x960, but all the words look squished! Anyway to fix that? I don't like VSync bit if I must, so be it. Of course I'd prefer an option where I wouldn't have to enable it...

You might have to mess with the OSD to get the size all setup right. You have to adjust the screen position once for each new res/hz combination that you choose.
1280x960 is a wide aspect resolution so it will appear squished on a 4:3 (standard square monitor) screen. 1280x1024 and 1152x864 use the 4:3 aspect for your screen.
