Non Wifi pc connecting to router only for ipod

Just got a router for my ipod touch.i have an older desktop that i dont think has wifi connectivity,can i use the router only for the ipod touch while still being connected to broadband with the desktop?

Almost all routers have both ethernet and WiFi connections, you should be able to plug in your desktop using a cable to it. If not, you can't have both a router and the PC connected to your modem, you need to get a router that has both WiFi and ethernet ports. Or get a WiFi adapter for your desktop.
