I don't know if its been posted, but in this months maximum pc they have first look type thing of a Hitachi hard drive. The 10K300, 10,000 rpm, 300 gb "enterprise drive". Five platters, sounds like a good hard drive... I wonder how fast it will be compared to the raptors.

Yeha, tehy annouynced those almost exactly two montshs ago. ANd if you understood what you read(and read details) you'd know that enterprise drive refers to fact that they're Scsi/fibre channel drivers purpose built for sustained throughput(nto burst speeds), and high reliability, unlike ata drives.

I didn't think about them not being SATA, I guess I just assumed that since the raptor was classified as "enterprise", and it was SATA, that this was too, my mistake!
