XP help... .

My computer suddenly died. I hope that you can give me some advice
please. The screen went blank, saying "no input", and my computer's
floppy light was on, along with the computer working light and the on
light. After a while, I restarted and it failed to get past the memory
check right at the beginning.

I've tried it with new memory and a new hard drive. With my new memory
and old hard drive (and CD drives unplugged) I get to the stage where
it's checked the processor, then the memory, then recognised the
primary master (my hard drive), found no secondary master or slaves
(I'm not sure that it should), and stops there.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I should be trying next please?
It's quite hot and somebody said that it may have overheated but I
don't know if that's true... . Thank you! Oh, I'm running XP... .

Try hitting the delete key a few times when the keyboard lights flash. It
should get you into the BIOS. Then load the "Setup Default" BIOS settings.
Sounds like the settings could be off.
Or could be a faulty Video Card.
