Hi

I was wondering if there are some guys out there that can help me.i was consiodering gettting a laptop computer mainly the HP Pavilion DV-6880.why? i kinda like the specifications.

CPU - Intel® Core 2™Duo Processor T9300 6MB L2 Cache,2.5GHz,800MHz FSB
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS, Up to 1535 MB (256 MB dedicated)
RAM - 2x1GB but i plan to max the laptop to 4 Gb
1 Firewire, 1 HDMI and tv out

Now my 2 concerns about it.

1. is this rig good enough for video editing and website design?for video editing i use premiere cs3 and for webdesign the adobe cs3 suite.so mainly all programs that i need to run are from the cs3 suite.premiere dreamweaver fireworks indesign photoshp. Will it be powerfull enough for thoose?

2.the seconnd thing is as u all know laptops dont have that much HDD space capabilty. i was planning to get a NAS System of 4 drives to supplement the hdd spce in the laptop.do i need something special for that nas system or a normal NAS is enough?and how do i work with it?do u seee the NAS drives as normal drives in "My Computer" or what?conection between laptop and NAS is gigabit Ethernet so i think there is enough bandwith for it.

Second question is not for this section i know but just tell me and i post the second question in the apropiate thread

i really hope some of u can come up with some good sugestions

thx.

More about : laptop stuff

Btw. if u think the rig i choosed is not ok i accpet sugestions.price can go up to 2000$, has to have the firevire and tvout option, and if the seller is internet site has to have shiping to israel

Thx.

That rig will handle cs3 no problem. The rig is good as well, although i have always preferred Dell laptops, have had problems with hp components before so don;t really trust their laptops. I would suggest having a look at some Dell laptops, maybe Sager too. Sager tend to be more suited to gaming which is probably perfect for video editing!

Not sure about websites tho sorry, just have a look around.

Not sure about your second question either, sorry. Hope i have helped a little on the first one!
