Hey guys id really like ur help in this..i need a new laptop for work..so here s what i want it to be..pls try and give me many different laptops :) thank you all

budget: up to 1100$

screen size: ideally 15.4"

HDD around 200-320 GB

portable laptop not desktop replacement since i ll be taking it every day from home to work

mainly used for web browsing, video viewing, documents viewing and editing..the basic corporate stuff but id like it to be fast because im a bit impatient :S

would not want it to be acer, i had bad reviews about it from friends (in terms of longevity)

battery time around 5 hours

time before buying new one about 2-2.5 years

might occasionally be playing DoTA on high settings but that shouldnt be so hard

and i think thats about it :) so if there is any information missing ask me please :)

waiting for your most helpful replies

thanks guys

CJ :)

Well, almost every brand has a gazillion models starting out at around $600 or so.

However. . .

The ThinkPad T61 starts out better equipped than either of the Dells or HPs and with the 9 cell battery comes in at just under $1000.

So my recommendation is T61.
