Well I'm going to Iraq soon and I'm looking to get a new laptop, mostly to keep in touch with family and friends. However I would like to play a few games such as Americas Army, Fear, Quake4 nothing really more demanding than that so I think a graphics card in the Nvidia 7series would be sufficient. I would like it to also have wireless and WiFi capabilities. With a big enough battery to last from 12-24 hours max. About 2gb ddr2 ram and 80gb hardrive should get the job done. So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have no clue where to start when it comes to laptops.
Laptops that have that much batter life and any gaming ability whatsoever are almost non-existent. Few laptops get battery life about 5-6 hours. Are you sure you need such a long life?
Fill out the FAQ questionaire more completely, I'm sure we can come up with something.
But if I were travelling and just wanted something to use to keep in touch I'd grab. . . hmm. . .. What would I grab? Something easy to repair. . . something durable. . . something along the lines of a Thinkpad X32 / X41. Yeah. Something like that.
