So get this, my friend buys a new Viewsonic 19' LCD, and I go over to his house and play BF1942. Looks AWESOME! Insanely clear, smooth, and crisp. I come home today and start playing some Quake 3. I noticed it isnt that clear at all, there is ALOT of ghosting (I never noticed before, as I was probably used to it :? ), it was blurry, and started to hurt my eyes after a couple hours of use.

So I am getting a new moniter as soon as I can (Probobly from the money I get for my birthday or something) and I am wondering.

Should I go widescreen, and if so, is 1440x900 a good resolution? I would like DVI, because thats what my friends moniter uses, and its awesome. I dont know what my MS timing is on this moniter, but EASILY over 16, as I get ghosting just by turning on Quake 3.

So could anyone reccomend a good ws moniter around $300?

Thanks!
