Basically a good benchmark is the proce of a screen or main board replacement, which run about $150 - $200 for a used, known good part and you do it yourself. Otherwise add another $100 on top. So something around $250 - $300 for an 3 year warranty is not bad if you thing you might be carrying the sucker around.
I bought it direct, certified refurbished, so it has the 1-year warranty. I doubt I would be too heartbroken if it was destroyed...6 months from now i could buy similar one for half the price
