Tips and suggestions needed > laptops + games

Im looking for any helpfull information on getting a decent laptop that i can use for my games n stuff, but wont totally cripple my bank account...

I read the articles on the Dell, went to their website, and that thing has lots of bells and whistles, but i dont want to pay for a million things im not going to use, such as LED lights on the case... although they may look cool they dont improve functionality and are not needed...

I have consulted a few friends and they think im nuts, but iw ant a laptop that will run most of my games (i dont have many) the best game i have is Star Wars knights of the old republic, and need for speed underground 2.... if it can run those at best grafix im happy as a pig in mud.

Things i want - fast (duh)
at least 80 gig harddrive
decent battery life
Windows XP home is fine, dont need media or pro
internal onboard wireless lan (whatever its called... dont know i read about optional bluetooth whats up with that?)
widescreen
1024 X 1280 (i think) resolution or better
good grafix card
a gig of ram
dvd reader preferred
other stuff im not 1337 enough to know about...

Things i dont want or care about or need...
DVD burner (Nice but dont need it if it will cut costs)
millions of ports for stuff i might get... only need like 2 usb ports, and i dont have lots of gadgets like firewire stuff so things like firewire or different monitor ports are un-necesisary
lots of bells and whistles like leds on the cover or glowing undercarrige are not needed... dont want it dont need it keep it away...



Anyways suggestions on laptops i should look for would be greatly apprieated. And if this is in the wrong place im sorry im pretty new to this site, working my way reading all the articles n stuff, anything you can point out is helpfull.

Oh and my budget is somewhere around 1500 to 2500 canadian dollars... Ya i know good game computers are upwards of 3k but i just dont have the funds for it...
