Hi, people...!

I don´t know if this was discussed here before (well, i didn´t found), but, please, i would like to know if there is some way to identify the caracteristics of a memory chip (CAS, RDP, ex.) by looking at its identification...

It would be a great help here, because i´m looking to afford a new memory module, but i don´t want to get one with too much "internal times".

If anyone could help. Thanks!

It's almost always printed on the stick or the heat-speader somewhere. CAS 2, 2.5, or 3. Remember, you can always relax timings, but you can't always tighten them up. CAS 2 will always run at 3, but CAS 3 might never get down to 2.

You could also download CPU-Z here. It will tell you all kinds of sueful info on your motherboard/memory, etc.

It will give you the info you are after.
