Hi guys. Where in the world do you find laptops you can build yourself. No matter the price range or budget. Anywhere from 400-and beyond. I have not found a place to build budget laptops or a place to find barebones to build super high end laptops with sli and such.
Personally, I don't think there is any benefit from a DIY laptop. Laptop CPU prices on newegg and such actually tend to be pretty high, and it's not like you really get to choose what video card you want. You are stuck with whatever comes with the chassis. It can almost be as cheap to get a custom order from sagernotebook.com or such.
As far as the OCZ recommendation goes, take a look at the newest release from OCZ. They just launched a 17'' laptop that comes with either a single 9800mGTX, HD3870 or crossfired 3870's. I have seen some performance numbers and it looks very promising.
