Wow. That's a real eye opener. You wouldn't expect their vehicles to be in such poor shape. I thought we had the best equipped army in the world.

They dealt with the situation rather poorly. Mutiny is not the right way to protest in the military.

Those troops are un-American. They aren't supporting the troops. They're terrorists.

you do have the best equiped army in the world.

however the war on iraq is so large that not everyone can have the "best equipment in the army".

sad really that these people are put into a situation that they need to shut up and die, or speak up and be put to death.

but hey, the army isn't a democracy, and once you are there they can kill you any way they like. they joined and its now their problem to deal with.

that ain't gonna happen, without an army, there is no order, it is human nature. If there isn't someone form of higher power watching over you, people will go wild

Stupid two faced bastards, they were happy enough to take the dollar when they signed up, thinking then that all they'd do is go on manouvres within the confines of the US. Now they have to actually serve in a combat zone, they bitch about it. What the hell did they expect? Someone to throw them a party?

Hope the army throws the book at them. The army is better off without losers like that. Amazing how they found other soldiers to step into the breach and fulfil the mission, and with no problems either. It was just the excuse those people were looking for. Their actions disrespect every serving soldier who gets his head down and does the job.

That's the job of police and government. What does army do today? Defend their nation from extrernal forces. Only 5 centuries ago, their main job was also invading other countries.

Last few decades has been relatively peaceful, it's not unnatural for young people of this gereration to think like this. My country is not involved in any kind of war since for last 3 decade. Nowdays, my countrymen think that an army job means good salary, other extra facilities that civilians doesn't have and with good luck, a temporary job in UN peace missions which means getting richer.
