Anyone here know why I am not able to connect to FTP servers now that I
installed XP SP2?

In my browser I used to type: ftp://ftp.host.com

I would then get a username and password box and be able to see
folders/files.

I still get the username and password box but it says operation timed out.
make sure you have permission. This happens on more than one site

Hi,

Try disabling passive ftp in the Control Panel/Internet Options/Advanced
tab.
