Memory full HTC legend

Hello HTC Community,
I'm using the HTC Legend for 3 months now. Synchronising Outlook agenda, Mail etc. Frequently I cannot read my text messages. Error message "Telephone-memory full". I only have 4 messages in my inbox, it only occurs reading text messages. Mail, apps, widgets: no probelm. Cannot read text messages however.
SD card 1.8 Gb free , internal memory 7,9 MB free.
Who can help me?
