Now I'm a little confused as to which yields better performance for mousing. The PS/2 port can support up to 200 Hz while the USB port only supports 125 Hz (when not overclocked). So is there any disadvantage to using the ps/2 adapter and using your ps/2 port for your mouse and run it at 200 Hz rather than 125 Hz.

would you see a difference if you overclocked your usb port to 250 Hz or 500 Hz?
