OK I have a ThinkPad T60p for awhile now, it has Intel T7200 processor in it. I'm thinking to upgrade the processor. The current front side bus speed is 667MHz. But out of curiosity, I was just wondering if it will work if i upgrade to a CPU with 800MHz front side bus speed. Also will it work say if i upgrade to Intel T8xxx series CPU? The motherboard uses Intel 945PM chipset, and the socket type is 479mPGA.

The 945 mobile chipset can only support up to 667 Mhz FSB processors.

The fastest CPU the T60 officially supports is the T7600.
